Police Log: Pocketbook Found in Woods Behind Hotel

Needham Police reported to a wooded area behind the Sheraton Hotel on July 17 to look for stolen items dumped in the woods after a phone call tipped them off.

Officers traveled to the site around 9:45 a.m. searched the area surrounding the hotel, as well as the overflow parking lot for Gold's Gym. They discovered a brown pocket book about ten feet into the woods.

The bag was inventoried by police and found to contain a brown wallet with a MA driver's license. Additionally, the wallet contained a Newton Wellesley Hospital ID and another MA driver's license belonging to another person.

Needham Police contacted businesses in the area neither reported suspicious activity or stolen items. Police attempted to contact the owners of the licenses to no success.
