Police Log: Theft at the High School, Crash on Cedar Street, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges do not imply conviction.

March 21
8:30 a.m. - The director of the DPW Water Department reported that someone had gained access to a caged off area where their vehicles and supplies are kept. The Needham Police are investigating.
12:00 p.m. - A Needham High School employee reported a larceny. Sometime between February 22, 2016 and March 14, 2016, cash was taken from a cabinet.

12:15 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of identity fraud at a Second Ave residence. The male party explained that his name and address had been used to open four AT&T accounts and a Verizon account. He was notified by a credit monitoring company. All accounts opened in his name have been cancelled. The matter is under investigation.
8:00 p.m. - A motorist struck a mailbox on Cedar Street and left the scene. A 40-year-old Boston woman will be summoned to court on for leaving the scene of a property damage crash as well as other traffic related charges.

9:45 p.m. - An Officer stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue at the bridge over Rt. 128. As a result of the traffic stop, a 25-year-old Westwood woman will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating a motor vehicle with defective equipment and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
March 22
10:00 a.m. - Officers responded to Brookline Rug on Hunnewell Street for a disturbance. After further investigation, it was determined that a client was trying to pick up merchandise without a receipt. The party was given a letter of disinvite and left the premises without incident.
