Police Log: Tractor Trailer vs. Lightpole, Trailer Break-in, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

March 4
11:30 a.m. - During a traffic stop on Chestnut Street, a 25-year-old Waltham man received a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and having an excessive window tint. The owner of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Watertown man, will be charged with permitting unlicensed operation and permitting unregistered operation.
12:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Mercer Road for a reported break-in. A trailer parked in the driveway and the garage at the residence were broken into and various power tools were taken sometime overnight. The incident is currently under investigation.

6:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Second Avenue address for a report of neighbor trouble. After an investigation, it was determined that it was a civil matter and all parties involved were advised of their legal options.
Alvaro Pacheco-Ramirez, 31, of Watertown was arrested at the Police Station on a straight warrant out of Newton District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:30 p.m. An officer observed a vehicle pull over to the side Honeywell Street and turn on its hazard lights. After a brief investigation, a 51-year-old Waltham woman received a summons for operating a motor vehicle after license suspension.
March 5
10:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a damaged traffic light at the intersection of Highland Avenue and West Street. Two separate witnesses stated a tractor trailer unit struck the traffic light pole, heavily damaging the light pole, and then left the scene. The operator of the vehicle was located and identified in Newton based on descriptions given by the witnesses. The operator, a 27-year-old Springfield man, has been charged with leaving the scene of a property damage crash and failure to use care while turning.
