Police Log: Woman Assaulted in Parked Truck
A woman told police that her friend had pulled over the vehicle and punched her in the face while her daughter sat in the back.
On Aug. 30, around 12:42 a.m., a woman and her boyfriend walked into the station with the woman reporting that their friend had just assaulted her. According to reports, the woman was "visibly upset" and showed stains on her shirt that appeared to be blood and dirt.
The woman refused medical attention, but related that she and her one-year-old daughter had been invited onto a boat at the Old Colonial Yacht Club in Dorchester that day. Upon leaving the area, the woman and her daughter got a ride home by a friend. While driving home, the friend, who was driving, reportedly started yelling at the woman, grab her by her face and push her head against the passenger side window.
At this point, the woman began crying and asked the man to drive her and her baby home. As they drove into Needham, the man continued his verbal assault, referring to her as "trash." In the area of Webster and Brookline Streets, the man parked the truck, took the keys out of the ignition, exited the car and proceeded to the passenger side. From there, he reportedly pulled the woman out by her hair and punched her in the face.
