Police Reports: Hit and Run at Second Ave. Lot
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A hit and run was reported in the Harvard Vanguard parking lot on Second Avenue on Friday, April 13. The crash occurred while the owner’s vehicle was parked in the lot and he was inside the building, according to reports. A witness provided police with a description of the vehicle that struck the man’s vehicle. Police are investigating.

Cell Phone Stolen at Pollard
A student reported that her cell phone was stolen at school on Tuesday, April 10.

Employee’s Purse Missing from Hospital
An employee at reported that her pocketbook was stolen on Friday, April 13.
Vandalism on Warren St. Bridge
Graffiti vandalism was found on the Warren Street railroad bridge on Friday, April 13. Police notified Amtrack of the damage.

Construction Equipment Vandalized
A piece of construction equipment parked on Yurick Road was vandalized sometime before Sunday, April 15. Someone had written in grease smeared on the vehicle’s fender. No other damage was noted.
Vandalism on Coolidge Avenue
A Coolidge Avenue resident reported on Sunday, April 15 that items in her yard had been vandalized.
Teen Accused of Camera Theft
Police were called to on Chestnut Street on Sunday, April 15 for the report of a stolen camera. During an investigation, the 13-year-old male who allegedly took the camera was identified. Charges will be sought against him, according to reports.
Cyclist Runs into Vehicle
A bicyclist riding on Central Avenue on Monday, April 16 side swiped a vehicle while attempting to turn left into the l driveway. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. No injuries were reported.
