Police Reports: Lynn Man Charged With Having Open Beer Can in Public
The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A 25-year-old Lynn man was taken into protective custody on Saturday, July 14 after police noticed he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
A Needham officer was on patrol in the area of Great Plain Avenue at around 11:40 p.m. when the man asked for assistance in getting home. The man appeared “unsteady on his feet,” according to reports, and was allegedly in possession of a beer can.
The man was summonsed to court for public possession of alcohol.

Letters ‘KKK’ Written in Dirt on Maple Street
Police were called to a Maple Street address on Saturday, July 14 at around 7:14 a.m. for the report that someone had used a stick to write the letters “KKK” in the dirt. The area written in was located on the town berm between the road and sidewalk. The incident had occurred sometime during the previous evening or early that morning. The matter is under investigation.

Bank Fraud Reported
A Hillside Avenue resident reported on Saturday, July 14 that unauthorized bank transactions were made using his ING bank account.
Money Removed From Business Account
Police spoke with a person on Chestnut Street on Wednesday, July 11 who reported that money was missing from their business account. The money had been removed via wire transfer. The investigation is ongoing.
Elderly Driver Strikes Bicyclist
A vehicle driven by an elderly man struck a bicyclist on Tuesday, July 10 at around 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of Holmes Street and Dell Avenue. No one was injured in the crash, but the driver, an 89-year-old man, was cited for failure to keep right.
Driver Injured In Two-Car Collision
Police responded to Webster Street on Tuesday, July 10 at around 8:10 a.m. for a two-car rear-end collision. One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with minor back and neck injuries.
Vandalism, Larceny at Second Avenue Apartment
Police were called to a Second Avenue apartment by a male resident on Monday, July 9 at around 2:41 a.m. for the report of vandalism and theft. Upon arrival, officers noted that damage had been done to televisions, clothing and a bed. Items reported missing included a Rolex watch and a safe.
Police are seeking an arrest warrant for a 33-year-old Florida woman for larceny over $250 and destruction of property.
Landscape Lights Missing
A Broadmeadow Road resident reported on Tuesday, July 10 that someone had stolen two landscape lights off his property sometime over the weekend of July 6-8.
Bag Stolen
A Charles River Landing resident reported that their bag was stolen while they were sitting by the pool on Sunday, July 8.
BMX Bike Stolen from Oak Street Porch
An Oak Street resident reported on Tuesday, July 10 at around 7:59 p.m. that his son’s bike was stolen from the porch sometime overnight. The bike was described as a white Mongoose BMX style with orange graphics.
