Police Reports: Toddler's Uncle Charged with Assault

A Needham man has been charged with assaulting a child after a 20-month-old boy was injured while in his care.
were called to a Hillcrest Road residence on Saturday, June 30 at around 8:21 p.m. for the report of an unknown disturbance. When police arrived, they found that a toddler, a 20-month-old male, had been injured while in the care of his uncle. The child was taken to Boston Children's Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
Following an investigation into the incident by Needham Police, Massachusetts State Police and Children's Hospital, the boy's uncle, a 32-year-old Hillcrest Road resident, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and assault and battery on a child with injury.
