Police Reports: Wheelchair Stolen on Chambers Street

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Police responded on Friday, June 29 to the report of a stolen wheelchair at a Needham Housing Authority-run apartment building on Chambers Street.

The incident was reported at around 4:46 p.m. Needham police spoke with a Housing Authority employee and a resident who said she may have seen two men remove a wheelchair from the building next to her. The matter remains under investigation.

Clarke Road Resident Locked Out
A Clarke Road resident called police on Saturday, June 30 at around 9:18 p.m. after he accidentally locked himself out of his home. helped the resident get back inside.

Hiker Lost at Cutler Park
Police responded to Cutler Park near Hunnewell Street on Saturday, June 30 for the report of a lost hiker. With the help of a bike rider, police were able to locate the hiker and escorted her back to her vehicle without further incident.

Suspicious Phone Calls
A Linden Street resident reported on Monday, June 25 that she had been receiving suspicious phone calls. The caller claimed the resident owed her money.

Dump Truck Tire Slashed
A dump truck parked on Hunnewell Street was found on Monday, June 25 to have been vandalized. The front passenger-side tire was slashed. The incident is under investigation.

Woman Being Followed
A 25-year-old woman who works on Kearney Road reported that she was being followed while on her lunch break at around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.
