Police Reports: Windows Shattered by BB Gun

Two windows on a Woodbine Circle home were shattered by a BB or pellet gun on Saturday, June 2.

A resident told police that he had heard a noise at about 1 or 1:30 p.m. that day and went to the rear door to find the cause but, because of rain, did not notice the damage to the windows, which are located in the rear of the house. When he later saw the damage, the resident contacted police, on Sunday, June 3 at around 10 a.m.

Police did not find the pellets or BBs that broke the windows. Neighbors said they did not hear or see anything suspicious, according to reports.

The incident remains under investigation.

Crash with Injury at Webster and South
One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, May 30 at the intersection of Webster and South streets. The crash occurred at about 9:19 a.m. The injured party was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to reports.

GPS Stolen in Vehicle Break-in
A Sherman Street resident reported that someone broke into his vehicle overnight and stole a GPS. The incident occurred sometime between Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31. The vehicle was parked in the man’s driveway. The matter is under investigation.

Vehicle Violations
• A Brighton man was pulled over on Highland Avenue on Wednesday, May 30 for driving with a revoked registration. He was also found to have an expired license and no active insurance. He will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for all three citations.

• A Needham man was stopped on Highland Avenue on Thursday, May 31 for not having a license plate light on his vehicle. The man was also found to have an expired license. He was cited for the two violations.

Needham Teen Crashes into House while OUI
A 17-year-old Needham resident was arrested for OUI and other charges after he crashed his vehicle into the side of a house on Thursday, May 31.

The incident occurred at around 2:16 a.m. on Hillside Avenue. When police arrived, they found that the driver had left the scene. After an investigation, police identified the driver as a 17-year-old male from Thorpe Road.

Police arrested the individual and charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage and being a minor transporting alcohol.

Passport Reported Missing
A Second Avenue woman reported her passport missing on Wednesday, May 31. The woman told police that the item had gone missing sometime over the past few months.
