Police Reports: Worker Hit By Steel Bar

The following information was supplied by the Needham Police Department. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Police were called to the railroad tracks on Rosemary Street on Friday, July 13 to investigate an industrial accident. The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. A worker had been struck in the head by a steel bar. The man was conscious and alert and appeared to have only a minor injury, according to reports.

Hotel Guest Reports Larceny
A guest at the in Needham reported on Wednesday, June 11 that someone had stolen a watch, bracelet and phone charger from her room. The theft occurred on June 30.

Suspicious Phone Call Reported
On Thursday, July 12 a Chambers Street resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call on July 10 at 11:45 a.m.

Threats Made By Phone, Facebook
A Meetinghouse Circle resident reported on Thursday, July 12 that she had been receiving threats by phone and on her Facebook account. The matter is being investigated.

Man Struck By Passing Car
A man working on Central Avenue on Thursday, July 12 was struck by a passing vehicle, which continued on after hitting the man. The incident occurred at around noon. The man was shaken up but uninjured, according to reports.

Mailbox Damaged in Vehicle Crash
Police were called to a Rosemary Street residence on Friday, July 13 for the report of a past motor vehicle crash. A vehicle had struck and damaged a mailbox located in front of the home. The responding officer helped the two parties exchange insurance information.
