Proposed School Budget Tabbed at Nearly $69 Million

NEEDHAM, MA — Next year's proposed school budget comes with a price tag that's 5.6 higher than last year's.

Needham Superintendent Dan Gutekanst discussed the proposed fiscal year 2018 budget at a recent school committee meeting. The proposed budget is $68.8 million, up from this year's $65 million, according to the Needham Times.

The majority of the increase, about $2 million, is being attributed to contracts.

The school committee was expected to vote on the budget at Tuesday's meeting.
