Rezoning Article For Muzi Ford Area Fails: Needham Special TM
Five of the eight articles on the Needham Special Town Meeting warrant were approved and one was removed.
NEEDHAM, MA — Needham held a Special Town Meeting on Monday night to discuss and vote on eight articles on the warrant. The proposed articles varied from appropriating funds to repair school gyms and fees collected by Uber and Lyft to zoning amendments that tackled entire areas.
In total, five proposed articles were approved, four unanimously, by Town Meeting members. Two articles, which were proposed and voted on together, failed. One article was removed from the warrant.

Article 1: Fund collective bargaining agreement for the Needham Fire Union — Removed from warrant.
Article 2: Amend FY20 sewer enterprise fund budget — Unanimously Approved

Article 3: Amend FY20 water enterprise fund budget — Unanimously Approved
Article 4: Appropriate transportation improvement fees — Unanimously Approved
Articles 5 & 6: Amend the zoning bylaw for the Highway Commercial 1 zoning district and change the zoning map — Failed
Article 7: Amend the zoning bylaw for accessory dwelling units — Approved
Article 8: Appropriate funds for Pollard School gym repairs — Unanimously Approved
