School Delayed in Needham

NEEDHAM, MA - Students in Needham will celebrate the beginning of spring with a short day.

The Needham Public Schools have announced that there will be a two-hour delay on Monday, March 21 due to the pending snow storm. Morning kindergarten has been canceled.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Norfolk County that will remain in effect through 11 a.m. Monday morning. The snow will be heavy at times during the overnight hours and will likely persist into the first part of the Monday morning commute before coming to an end by the afternoon, according to the NWS.

With snow accumulating on the roads, travel is expected to be hazardous Sunday night and Morning morning. The NWS reminds drivers that travel will be slow at best on well-treated surfaces and quite difficult on any unplowed or untreated surfaces.
