School Officials Confirm Death of Needham Student

Needham High School Principal Jonathan Pizzi has confirmed that Jake Borson, a junior at the school, has died.

Pizzi confirmed the death Thursday afternoon, according to parents who received an electronic mailing from the school.

Grief counselors are available for students at the school on an appointment or drop in basis.

Needham Youth Services Director Jon Mattleman also released an official statement this afternoon.

“Given the recent loss of a Needham High School student, our community is faced with great sadness and grief,” he said through email.
