Selectmen Approve License for Package Store Hoping to Become Destination Spot
The board voted to issue an all-alcohol package store license to Reveler Beverage, to be located at 250 Chestnut St.

NEEDHAM, MA — A proposed package store which touts itself as something that Needham has never seen before was approved by the selectmen last week.
The board voted to issue an all-alcohol package store license to Reveler Beverage, to be located at 250 Chestnut St. The store will be owned and managed by Scott Linzmeyer of Jamaica Plains.
Linzmeyer comes to Needham with years of experience with Harpoon, Boston Beer Company, and Beer Works. While at Beer Works, he was in charge of the company’s sales team and distribution team. Prior to his time in the beer industry, he earned an MBA from Harvard and degrees from Boston University.

Referring to the store as a passion project, Linzmeyer is hoping for the establishment to be a destination spot for fans of craft beers, craft spirits, fine wines, and local tea and coffee. An area to test drinks and conduct educational programs is also in the works.
Some board members were concerned with Linzmeyer's lack of experience in the field of beer sales, but Linzmeyer said he would be at the establishment up to 60 hours a week and said his experience in sales and distribution would help him.
