Senior Shoplifters, Dog Bite, And More: Needham Police Log

July 17

1:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to Wingate on Highland Avenue for a report of a past larceny of money. The reporting party believed that money had been taken from her room and was working with staff at the building to remedy the incident.

6:30 p.m. - An officer responded to the YMCA on Great Plain Avenue for a report of a missing property. The caller later said the property had been located.

July 18

12:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Kearney Road business on a report of a dispute between two business partners. The incident remains under investigation.

11:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a High Rock Street address for a report of credit card fraud.

July 20

12:30 p.m. - Officers responded to Trader Joe’s on Highland Avenue for a report of two shoplifters. Two 70-year-old Needham residents will be summoned to court for shoplifting.

5:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Central Avenue address for the report of a person that had just been bitten by a dog. The victim was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - Needham with two bite wounds. The dog will remain in quarantine.
