Stolen Bikes, Drug Possession, And More: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

June 5

6:00 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Kendrick Street. The vehicle had an expired inspection sticker and the operator of the vehicle did not possess a license. The operator, a 32-year-old Waltham man, was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the operator was given a courtesy transport to work.

12:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a disturbance at Panera Bread on Highland Avenue. An employee was asked to leave and became disruptive and threw a trash can. No charges are pending.
6:30 p.m. - A resident of Willow Street told police that someone stole his bike from the bike rack at the Pollard School. It is a 21" boys Specialized Hardrok V bike. It is metallic black and blue in color.

10:00 a.m. - A resident walked into the police station to report that an unknown party tried to open up a credit card account under his name via the web. The matter is under investigation.

12:00 p.m. - A resident of Greendale Avenue told police that his bike was stolen off the rack at the Pollard School. It is a 16" Trek Marlin Mountain bike, orange and black in color.

June 8

1:00 p.m. - A resident of Grasmere Road told police that someone had used his identity to attempt to get an inquiry on the balance in his bank accounts. They were not able to get that info.

1:30 p.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over on Highland Ave at 1st Avenue. The operator had a suspended license. A 26-year-old Quincy man was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and will be summonsed for possession of Class B substance (Oxycodone).
