Stolen Copper Pipes, Disturbing the Peace: Needham Police Log

April 6

9:30 a.m. - An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Kendrick Street over Route 128. The operator, a 51-year-old from Blackstone, was cited for an expired inspection sticker and for operating with a revoked license. She will be summoned to Dedham District Court for the violations.

1:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Wexford Street address for a report of an unwanted individual at the business. After speaking with both parties, it was determined that the dispute regarded wages that one party felt they were owed. The parties involved were advised that this was a civil matter and to handle further communication through attorneys.

April 7

6:45 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to an A Street for a report of stolen copper pipe. The matter is under investigation.

12:00 p.m. - A man entered the station to report that he fell victim to a scam. It was a prize money scam in which he was told he won money but that he needed to send registration fees in order to collect his winnings. The matter is under investigation.

April 8

1:45 a.m. - Officers responded to a Highland Avenue address for the report of a fight in progress. After an investigation, A 25-year-old from Needham, was arrested for disturbing the peace and destruction of property. The charges were later dismissed in Dedham District Court.

A Gordon Road resident came to headquarters to report that someone had altered a check he had written and cashed it for a larger amount. The bank is investigating.

5:55 p.m. - An officer responded to Needham Center Fine Wines for a report of a theft.

April 9

4:20 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for the report of a hit and run crash. Upon arrival an officer spoke to two victims who stated their vehicles were hit in the parking lot and the suspect vehicle drove off. The matter is still under investigation.
