Stolen Tires, OUI, and More: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

March 15

An officer took a walk-in report of a past hit-and-run crash. The victim was parked on the side of the road in Needham Square in a legal parking spot when another vehicle drove by and struck the driver's side mirror of the victim's car. The other vehicle was identified and the operator stated that he did not realize that he had been in a crash. Information was exchanged and the parties were satisfied.

1:00 a.m. - Officers responded to a B Street business for a report of of stolen tires and rims. The matter is currently under investigation.

1:15 a.m. - An officer observed a vehicle cross over a median strip on Highland Ave and proceed onto Route 128 South at a high rate of speed. Following a traffic stop and an investigation the operator, Skipper Carino, 38, of Lynn, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating to endanger.

11:00 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue at Truman Street. The operator, a 49-year-old old Wellesley woman, was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating with a suspended license. A friend came and picked up the operator and the vehicle.
