Sudden Fight, Hit and Run: Needham Police Log

February 9

3:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a fraud report on Bridle Trail Road. The reporting party stated that their tax return was fraudulently filed and the matter has been reported to the IRS for further investigation.

4:30 p.m. - A resident reported that she had a rude encounter with a customer at the Needham Square Post Office. Both parties left the area.

February 11

9:30 a.m. - Aronson Insurance reported that they were scammed over the internet and wired money to an address in Florida. Their bank is investigating.

10:45 a.m. - An Arlington resident reported that his car was hit and damaged while he was at work at a Kendrick Street business. This happened during the previous day between 2 and 11 p.m. There were no witnesses.

1:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Woodworth Road address for a report of a property dispute over an easement. All parties involved were advised to seek legal counsel.

9:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to 61 Fuller Brook Ave. for the report of past damage to a vehicle. The victim stated that approximately 20 minutes prior, she was waiting to pick her son up at Needham High School and a fight suddenly broke out among a group of juvenile boys who began slamming each other against her vehicle. She pushed on her vehicle’s horn to attempt to stop the fighting. The boys were scared off and fled the area. No further description was available.
