We gathered quite a few signatures for the Petition to put on the ballot next yr. to repeal the Automatic Gas Tax Increases, as just voted by the Legislature. This is a 1st - to have taxes increase automatically with the cost of living. Normally tax increases have to be voted on in the Legislature. The way this new gas tax is set up, we can expect it to mimic our postage stamp increases as the yrs. go by...
If you want to make a difference, just as we just did to repeal the technology tax, then download a Petition at www.tankthegastax.org and have your friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers sign it. Remember that Petitions are signed by Towns, so download several. And the Petitions must be printed double sided.
