Taylor's Stationery Announces Closing Date

Jack McQuillan and Maureen Fitzgerald of Taylor are ready for retirement.

NEEDHAM, MA — After nearly five decades of business, the days to purchase stationary, card, and party supplies from a Needham staple are numbered.

Taylor's Stationery announced last week that they will close March 3. Jack McQuillan and Maureen Fitzgerald of the store said they are closing to enter retirement.

"Thank you to all of our loyal customers, friends, and family who have supported us and our parents over the last 46 years. We have loved being part of the Needham community for so long and we are looking forward to creating many new, happy memories in our retirement," Jack McQuillan and Maureen Fitzgerald of Taylor's wrote on Facebook.

Taylor's has had a defining presence in downtown Needham for 46 years and Jack and Maureen have contributed so much to the town's economic and cultural vitality. We will miss Taylor's when it closes on March 3 but we wish Jack, Maureen and their employees the very best as they enter the next chapter of their lives," Greg Reibman, the president of the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber said.
