Teen Brushed by Car, Warrant Arrest, and More: Needham Police Log

April 3
6:00 p.m. - A party came into the police station to report that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was eating at Panera Bread. One of the stolen credit cards was used over the weekend. The matter is under investigation.

1:30 p.m. - A 42-year-old from Holliston was stopped for speeding on Charles River Street. The person was cited for speeding and operating a motor vehicle while being unlicensed. He will be summoned to Dedham District Court.
4:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Canterbury Lane address for a reported hit and run. The reporting party stated that her 16-year-old daughter was brushed by a vehicle near Harris/Bradford Street. This occurred as she was walking home from school around 2:50 p.m. Light contact was made with a small white vehicle as she was crossing the street. The operator then yelled profanities at her as he drove off. No license plate was obtained.

6:00 p.m. - An Officer responded to a Hillside Avenue address for a reported hit and run crash. The victim reported that her vehicle was struck while it was parked on the side of the road. The responsible party did not leave a note and there were no surveillance camera in the area. The owner was advised to contact her insurance company.
8:30 p.m. - Officers responded to a Central Avenue address and arrested Kenneth Sica, 36, of Needham, on an outstanding straight warrant out of Norfolk Superior Court.
