Theft, Drug Possession: Needham Police Log

March 20
A Needham High School student told police that her boots were stolen from a gym locker. The value of the boots are about $150.
6:30 p.m. - Needham Police and Fire personnel responded to the area of Nehoiden St at Lewis St for a motor vehicle crash involving a bicycle. Minor injuries to the bicyclist.

6:30 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle near Dedham Avenue at South Street. The vehicle registration came back as revoked. The operator, a 41-year-old Middleborough man, was cited and issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and uninsured motor vehicle.
March 21

8:40 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue religious institution for a report of larceny. The gutter downspouts had been removed.
A resident of Chambers Street reported money missing from his apartment. He was advised to notify the housing authority.
3:33 p.m. - An officer responded to a Hillside Avenue address for a report of lost property. The reporting party stated that his wallet went missing approximately a week ago. The woman was provided advice on how to protect himself from identity fraud.
March 24
An officer responded to a hit and run at TV place. The matter is under investigation.
5:50 p.m. - An officer observed two suspicious vehicles parked and running on Pickering Street. After a brief investigation one of the operators had a revoked license and two default warrants. Matthew Thompson, 34, of Roslindale, was arrested for two default warrants and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender, no inspection sticker, and possession of a Class E drug.
March 25
6:00 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for marked lanes violation. The operator had no license. The operator, a 37-year-old Sherborn man was cited and issued a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. A family member came and retrieved the operator and his vehicle.
