Town Holds Public Hearing on Extending Liquor Retail Sales Hours
The board is holding a public hearing on the possibility of extending hours for the sale of liquor, including holidays.

The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing regarding the extension of liquor retail sales hours on Sundays and holidays. Section 9.2.1 of the Town of Needham Regulations for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages states that holders of a Section 15 package store license open from no earlier than 12:00 noon to no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sundays and legal holidays recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 138, the Board of Selectmen is authorized to extend operating hours on Sundays and holidays until 11:00 p.m.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Avenue, Needham.

The Board of Selectmen invites all residents and interested parties to attend and provide input the proposed extension of liquor retail sales hours on Sundays and holidays. Written comments may also be submitted to the Board of Selectmen, c/o Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA or by email to selectmen@needhamma.gov.
