Two Arrested for Distributing Heroin at Coco-Cola Bottling Company
The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, July 16
- At 8:30 a.m., a Newton resident reported losing a wallet at a Highland Ave. gas station. The wallet contained a large amount of cash.
- At 10:40 a.m., the owner of Kostas Pizza and Seafood reported that someone called the business claiming to be from NStar Electric. They said he owed $400. The caller stated the balance needed to be paid immediately, and for the business owner to get a Green Dot Money Card and pay with that. At this point, the business owner realized this was a scam and hung up.
- At 9:13 a.m., police responded to the Eliot School, where vandalism had occurred. Someone damaged one of the windows near the playground.
- At 2:50 p.m., as a result of a narcotics investigation by Needham police detectives along with the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force, officers arrested 47-year-old Richard Antonellis of Needham and 54-year-old Patrick Rampino of Hyde Park. Antonellis, 59 High St., is charged with possession of a class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Rampino, 499 Metropolitan Ave., is charged with distribution of Class A Substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute Class A Substance and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.
