Van Catches Fire After Wires Fall In Needham
The Xfinity van burst into flames after heavy winds knocked electrical wires on it.

NEEDHAM, MA — An Xfinity van burst into flames after heavy winds took down electrical wires, which landed on the van.
The van was parked on Greendale Avenue around 11:40 a.m. when the wires fell. No one was in the van, as the driver was doing utility work inside at a nearby house, fire officials said.
The road was closed and power was disabled to nearby homes, so Eversource workers and emergency personnel could safely get to the wires and van. As of 3:45 p.m., 83 customers are without power in Needham.
