Vandalism, Car Crash: Needham Police Log

March 26
12:45 p.m. - An officer investigated two suspicious motor vehicles in the rear lot of a Kendrick Street business.
3:16 p.m. - An officer on patrol on West Street stopped a vehicle. The officer issued a citation to the operator, a 54-year-old Woburn man, for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and attaching improper plates. The vehicle was towed.

March 27
4:10 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to Chambers Street for a report of vandalism. The reporting person stated she noticed her motor vehicle was keyed sometime between March 24, 8 p.m. and March 25, 2 p.m. The officer observed what appeared to be a 12-inch scrape from a key on the back of her trunk. There were no witnesses and Hoffman will buy touch up paint.

7:20 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue at Wexford Street. The vehicle's registration was revoked for insurance. The operator, a 42-year-old Boston man, was cited and received a summons for operating motor vehicle with revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
6:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Greendale Avenue address for a report of fraud. The reporting party stated that he had been having issues with the private sale of a piece of electronics to a party outside of the country. The officer made contact with the other party involved and advised both parties of their options as it was currently a civil matter.
March 28
11:14 a.m. - An officer responded to the area of Central and Great Plain avenues for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon investigation, it was determined that one of the operators was unlicensed. That operator, a 30-year-old Wakefield man, was issued a citation for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
