Fourth-generation, family-owned and -operated Volante Farms in Needham has specialized in homegrown produce and locally grown plants since 1917. Beginning March 31 with the 2012 spring season, they are opening a year-round farm stand that will offer seasonal local homegrown produce, handcrafted sandwiches, prepared foods and baked goods, Crescent Ridge ice cream and much more.
This new farm stand, which will bring new, exciting, and healthy food to Needham and surrounding communities all year, has also brought many new jobs to the area as recently seen on WGBH’s Greater Boston.
