Voters Approve Funding for New Minuteman High School: Report
The fate of the new Minuteman High School has been decided.

The fate of the new Minuteman High School has been decided, as voters across the district decided in favor of approving the $144.9 million in borrowing for the construction of the school, reports Nick Greenhalgh of the Arlington Advocate.
Acton, Arlington, Bolton, Boxborough, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Lincoln, Needham, Stow, Sudbury and Weston voted in favor of the funding based on current unofficial results, reports Greenhalgh. Only Belmont and Wayland voted in opposition of the project.

On May 4, Belmont voted 'No' on approving its portion of the debt for the new Minuteman school, forcing a district-wide referendum in order to approve the funding.

The election was determined by a majority vote and there was no minimum number of voters required. Not every town needed to approve the bond, but rather a majority of the total number of votes cast in all the towns was needed.
