Fine Save: Woman Rescues Dog From Frozen Pond, Gets Cited Afterward
The dog was saved in Needham, but now its owner has to pony up.

NEEDHAM, MA — A woman was able to save her dog after it fell into an icy pond in Needham, but now she has to pay the price.
Twenty-five dollars, to be exact.
At 3:44 p.m., Needham Fire responded to a report of a woman and dog who fell through the ice and into the water at Cutler Park. The woman was able to get out of the freezing water with her dog, Needham Fire said.

The woman and dog are fine, but the woman was given a $25 fine for having an off-leash dog.
The woman told FOX 25 that her dog ran out to the ice before falling through and she was able to save her from the waist-deep water.
