NEWTON, MA — Lilly Pulitzer will open its newest store at The Street Chestnut Hill at the end of the month, the plaza announced. The lifestyle brand will be located next to Chilacates and Boll and Branch on 33 Boylston St.

“We are thrilled to bring the Lilly Pulitzer brand to Chestnut Hill,” Vice President of Retail for Lilly Pulitzer Debbie Negri said. “Our Boston-area consumer lives the Lilly lifestyle, and Chestnut Hill will be an excellent addition to our existing store presence here. The store will feature women's, men's, and children's fashion and offer a unique shopping experience with elements such as shelled fixtures and hand-painted fitting rooms tailored to this location.”

The store's decor is described as having mother-of-pearl detailing, metallic grasscloth, sparkle wallpaper, and a coco shell chandelier. The fitting room lounge will feature Lilly Pulitzer’s pink-and-green palette, burlwood finishes, and a 10-foot-wide hand-shelled mirror. The company said each of the three fitting rooms was hand-painted by a Lilly Pulitzer print artist.

“Lilly Pulitzer is an exciting addition to The Street’s lineup and a perfect fit for the way our guests love to shop-stylishly, socially, and with an emphasis on the in-store experience,” , General Manager of The Street Chestnut Hill Emmy Parsons said. “We can’t wait to welcome Lilly’s signature color and energy to the property and give our community a new destination for everything from everyday dressing to resort style and special occasions.”

The store’s assortment will emphasize social dressing and the brand’s “Elevated Everyday” styles, along with getaway-ready pieces and classic items, including the Shift dress and signature prints.

Lilly Pulitzer’s Chestnut Hill store will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Sunday. The brand originated in 1959 when Pulitzer designed a dress in Palm Beach, Florida. First Lady Jackie Kennedy wore one of Pulitzer's creations, which started a two-decade tenure of success until it filed for bankruptcy in 1985. Eight years later, Sugartown Worldwide purchased its rights and revived the business. Pulitzer worked as a consultant until her death in 2013.
