NEWTON, MA — A search for a missing swimmer at Crystal Lake Friday afternoon ended up being a false alarm, according to a report from 7 News Boston.
Newton officials responded to the lake shortly before 4 p.m. after receiving a report of a possible drowning. The Westborough Fire Department said its dive team actively searched the body of water in the vicinity of Rogers Street before the search was ultimately called off. The Boston, Natick, and Hopkinton fire departments also assisted on the scene.
