Are Teenage Trump Supporters Bullied in Newton?
A recent WGBH report profiled two high school students, who said they faced harassment online after supporting Trump on Inauguration Day.

NEWTON, MA – Newton is a community known for its tolerance, but a recent WGBH report suggests that might not extend to teenage supporters of President Trump. The story, published Tuesday, profiled two Newton North High School students who showed their support for the president on Inauguration Day.
But after taking a picture wearing Trump hats and holding a Trump flag, they told WGBH they faced a heap of criticism online. That, ultimately, turned to harassment, they said.
One of the students, who is Jewish, was branded a Nazi because of his support for the president. And though Newton North Principal Henry Turner sent a letter to the school community saying persecution for political beliefs "will not be tolerated," one parent didn't think it was enough of a statement, WGBH reported.
