As summer approaches, parents try to find new ways to keep kids occupied and stimulated. Recently, a new opportunity in the Boston Area has sprung up, causing quite the stir amongst parents…and kids.
Brain Excel, an innovative cognitive training program for children and adolescents, provides a unique methodology that helps students maximize their potential for success.
“Brain training helps students by uncovering hidden learning potential that otherwise would be wasted,” says Mario Rivero, director of Brain Excel of Boston. “Brain training does what tutoring cannot. It goes beyond the standardized classroom. It attacks learning problems at the organic source, strengthening weak connections, and enhancing academic performance.”

Brain Excel provides students, ages 5 to 18, with a comprehensive cognitive assessment and individualized plan. Targeting the three components of learning- memory, attention, and reasoning- it focuses on strengthening and amplifying the student's individual learning capability. The training program starts at 60 hours, with students meeting 3 times a week with their trainer. Each training session consists of 7 to 10 different adaptable modules and customizable activities, foundationally based on neuroplasticity, designed to stimulate and challenge the student.
“We have not only seen significant improvement in students’ grades, but also in their confidence and in their approach to learning,” states Rivero. “Our goal is to amplify the learning each student is receiving in the classroom by maximizing their individual capacity to improve their academic performance.”
