Bob Lobel Accuses Newton Golf Course of Discrimination
The sportscaster says Woodland Golf Course won't let him use a specialized golf cart.

Bob Lobel, former Boston sportscaster who is disabled, is accusing Woodland Golf Club in Newton of discrimination, claiming that the course wonât let him use a specialized golf cart on the premises.
The lawsuit, which demands $250,000 in compensation and the ability to use the cart on the course, says that Woodland violated the American With Disabilities Act and the Massachusetts Civil Rights Act, reported WCVB-TV.

Lobel told WCVB-TV that the carts are allowed on many courses across the country.

The club has permitted Lobel to use the cart everywhere except for the greens, Woodlandâs general manager David Garfinkel told The Boston Globe, adding that no one has access to the greens on carts.
The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Boston.
