Boston Sports Clubs celebrates Olympic Day on June 23rd with Olympian Mary Mazzio (1992-Rowing)

Wellesley fitness club/summer camp event on June 23rd is one of 2,000+ nationwide events celebrating the birth of the modern Olympic Games

The spirit of the Olympic Movement will roll into Wellesley as Boston Sports Clubs hosts Olympic athlete Mary Mazzio (1992-Rowing) in celebration of Olympic Day, June 23rd. Mazzio currently an award-winning documentary filmmaker (50Eggs.com) and speaks frequently on leadership and motivational topics.

The Wellesley fitness club and summer camp will feature Mazzio at two consecutive events in one convenient MetroWest location. First, a public meet and greet from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., followed by a private Q&A and physical fitness/teambuilding event exclusive to Boston Sports Clubs Wellesley campers ages 6-12 years old featuring the Olympic rower. Both consecutive events take place at the Boston Sports Club in Wellesley at 140 Great Plain Avenue.

The Boston Sports Club activity is one of more than 2,000 events taking place nationwide during the month of June. The events, designed to engage youth and promote the ideals of the Olympic movement, feature athlete appearances, family-friendly activities and interactive learning experiences.

Around the world, more than 160 countries take part in the annual celebration. Olympic Day, created in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games, focuses on the Olympic values and ideals such as fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship. In the U.S., Olympic Day events range from small gatherings to large, city-wide events.
