From 1:30-4:00 PM, enjoy performances by Jason Levasseur, The DellaValla Trio, and Skye Darling, then prepare to be amazed as illusionist Norman Ng dazzles audiences with mind-bending sleight-of-hand and logic-defying magic.
The fun doesn’t stop there! Express your creativity with face painting by Molly Della Valla and beautiful henna art by Kathryn Scott of Life in Henna. With music, magic, art, and plenty of fresh air, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this family-friendly celebration!
Parking: On-site and at nearby lots (there will be signs posted on the day of the event). All are welcome; Girl Scouts, family, friends, and community members alike! No registration required.

We are thrilled to host a screening of Kings of Kubb, featuring a personalized recorded introduction from directors Steve Dayton and B.J. Hollars. If you’re already a kubb pro, we know you’ll want to see this exciting documentary and join us for some games of kubb (also called “viking chess” on the lawn afterwards. If you’re confused and wondering what kubb is, come find out! The Swedish lawn game has taken hold over the small city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin–with a population of just 70,000, it hosts the largest weekly kubb league in the world, with 144 teams competing. Filmmakers Dayton and Hollars illuminate the formation of the U.S. National Kubb Championship and what the sport means to its players, four in particular who are vying for the championship.

Follow Newton Conservators President Katherine Howard and John Mordes, President of Friends of Hemlock Gorge, as they discuss the flora, geology and history of this 23-acre reservation. The walk includes steep slopes and uneven terrain. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers.
