Chestnut Hill Square Announces ART IN THE SQUARE - September 17 - October, 17, 2015

Chestnut Hill Square has announced a special exhibition – Art in the Square – to be held from September 17 – October 17, 2015 at the center. This complimentary, self-guided art exhibition celebrates women empowerment by highlighting the artworks of distinguished international and local women artists. The exhibition is free and open to the public. The Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center and Surgical Pavilion located in neighboring Needham, MA has been selected as the charitable partner for this month-long exhibition. Boston’s Diana Stelin's works of captivating expressionist landscapes are featured in the exhibition. Her artwork has garnered international attention. Ms. Stelin strips down and reconstructs traditional notions of landscape painting, using the medium of paint as the subject itself. Additional artists whose works will be displayed in the exhibit are Malini Mansukhani, India; Gladys Ortiz, Colombia; Marcela Carvhalo, Brazil; Guita Levy, Israel; and Thidarat Chantuchua, Thailand.
