Cocaine Arrest, U-Haul Getaway And Snow Clues: Newton Police Logs
And duo grabs some expensive items from Bloomingdales and gets away in a U-Haul.

NEWTON, MA — Each week the Newton Police respond to a number of phone calls. Here's a sample of the types of calls they respond to. It should be noted that the incident log is public information the police are required to provide. In addition: Just because someone reports an incident doesn't mean that's the way it happened, and all are presumed innocent until they're proven otherwise in a court of law. Arrests do not imply conviction.
Tuesday, Dec. 19:
Police logged 76 incidents, according to the incident log for Wednesday.
No one wants to see that: A woman called to report that while she was parked in the Austin Street parking lot next to Star Market, when she looked over at the car next to her and saw an older white man in the driver's seat with his pants unzipped exposing himself and he was holding his genitals. The woman told police that when he saw her he drove away. She described the car as a gray four door sedan.

Break in?: Someone called just after 10 a.m. on Richardson Street to report they thought someone was breaking in.
Suspicious?: Someone called about something they thought might be a suspicious incident on Fountain Street just after 1 a.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 20
Police logged 69 incidents, according to the incident log for Wednesday.
Bitten: Someone reported a dog bite at the Dog Scoop on Webster Street.
Break in: Someone reported a break in on Dedham Street.
Shoplifter: Someone reported a larceny from the Whole Foods on Market Street just after noon.
Thursday, Dec. 21:
Shoplifting: Someone from the TJ Maxx called to report that they caught several women shoplifting on video surveillance. The security officer there said the video showed four women come into the store, then one appeared to be deactivating the alarm devices on the stuff with what appeared to be a magnet. The three other women took items and left the store. Two Gucci Luggage bags, one Gucci Purse and one Dolce and Gabbana purse were missing, they said.
Larceny: Someone on Warren Street reported a larceny at 9:09 a.m.
Road rage: Someone reported a road rage incident happened out in front of Starbucks on Washington Street.
Friday, Dec. 22
Cocaine arrest: Police arrested Sabrina Visocchi, 47, and Richard Guzzi, 62 both of Upland Avenue for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Assault: Someone at the Newton Wellesley hospital reported an assault.
Oops: Someone reported they were locked out on Kilburn Road around 1:10 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 23
Follow the trail: A Charles Street resident called to report someone broke into their car while it was parked in their driveway. An officer came to check it out and saw prints in the snow showing that someone had been going through the back yards in the area, circling and checking cars and then heading back into the back yards. An officer followed the trail of footprints through five yards along Charles Street until he lost them in a plowed driveway. The Charles Street resident showed his security camera footage to police of a man come into view around 3:30 a.m. check the cars in the driveway for unlocked doors and then open the resident's car door. It showed the man using a flashlight and spend about three minutes in the car before heading back the same way he came. Police said he was wearing all white, including white gloves.
Threats: Someone reported threats at the Hotel Indigo on Grove Street just before midnight.
Loud: Someone reported a loud party on Maple Street just after midnight.
Sunday, Dec. 24
Broken into: At approximately 6:43 p.m., a man called to report he parked his car in the driveway at Bourne street in Auburndale, on December 20. He said he then took a trip for a few days, and when he came back he went to remove money and a necklace from the center console and glove box, when he noticed they were missing.
They were moving something, alright: Someone called to report that two people, a man and a woman came into the Bloomingdale's on Boylston Street, took four jackets and ran out of the store hopped in a U-Haul truck and headed West taking a right out of the parking lot onto Route 9. The store was able to give video surveillance footage showing the incident. Police described the couple as a black man about 20 or 30 years old wearing dark clothing and a black woman about that same age wearing a light T-shirt and jeans.
Vandals: At 9:45 a.m. someone called to report vandalism on Auburn Street.
Larceny: Someone reported a larceny at the Edible Arrangements on Beacon Street just after 1 p.m.
