Cop Log: Woman Drives Without Lights, Won't Pull Over for Police
A Boston woman received a citation after refusing to pull over, and driving without headlights.

On Jan. 10, Newton police received a call about an erratic driver heading down Commonwealth Ave. and Centre Street.
Police quickly caught up with the car, which didn’t have headlights on. It was nighttime, and the car was especially difficult to see because of its grey color, said police.
Officers turned on their blue lights and sirens to try to pull the car over, but saw the driver look in the rear view mirror and continue driving. The driver continued on, slowly, down Center Street for several blocks before pulling over.

“As I reached the rear passenger window the vehicle slowly took off and continued to drive down the road,” wrote police in the incident report. “I got back into my cruiser and followed the vehicle with lights and sirens. The vehicle continued down Centre St at a slow speed for several more blocks and pulled over again at Centre St. and Newtonville Ave.”
The driver, a 23-year-old Boston woman, was cited for failing to use headlights and failing to stop for a police officer.
