Crews Battled Large Brush Fire on Hammond Pond Parkway
Crews are still working on putting out hot spots.

Fire crews responded around 7 p.m. to a large brush fire.
The brush fire burned in the area of 300 Hammond Pond Parkway, Tweeted Matt Carter, freelance photographer. A “ladder was required for manpower,” he said.
By 7:30 p.m., Newton firefighters had essentially knocked down the fire, but are working on hot spots.
