Drop-Off Nature Preschool in Newton

Budding Naturalists is a one day a week drop-off Nature Preschool Program in Newton, MA.

Ages: 3-5 year olds

Where: Nahanton Park Nature Center, 455 Nahanton St, Newton

When: Friday Mornings starting October 2nd until June 3rd, 9:30 am - 12pm*

*8:30am Early Drop Off & 1pm Lunch Bunch Extended Day available

At Budding Naturalists, young naturalists use their bodies and senses to explore the natural world around them! New experiences occur everyday as they discover animals, plants and habitats. Holding a wiggling worm, rubbing rough tree bark and smelling late blooming flowers delights these little explorers.

Children explore the mysteries and wonders of nature in a safe, nurturing environment. Our integrated curriculum develops a range of skills such as observation, classification, color/number identification, and life-skills. Social skills develop as children work as a group to ask and answer questions about the mysteries of nature. Experienced teacher/naturalists guide children as they observe the patterns and changes in nature and make independent discoveries. Children are encouraged to talk about their experiences and express themselves with art, music and play.
