Fire Dept. Ventilating Home With High Carbon Monoxide Levels
Newton Fire Department warns and reminds residents to clear the snow from furnace vents.
Newton firefighters responded to a home with high levels of carbon monoxide, due to snow blocking the furnace vent on Monday evening.
According to a Tweet by the Newton Fire Department, they responded to a home around 9:30 p.m. to ventilate the home and clear the vents.
“”Clear the vents now, now later,” they urged.
