Four Newton Police Officers Part of Trump Inauguration Detail
About 3,000 police officers from across the United States were part of the event's security detail, according to the Washington Post.

NEWTON, MA – Four Newton police officers joined thousands from across the nation as part of the security detail on Inauguration Day.
Officers Declan Healy, Daniel Valente and Peter Koerber and Sgt. Peter Wade were on the ground in Washington, D.C. Friday.
According to the Washington Post, security included 3,000 police officers from across the country and 5,000 members of the National Guard. The total number of security officials at Friday's event was 28,000, forming a grid around 100 square blocks, the Post reported.

The New York Times reported this week that the total cost of the event could ultimately be around $200 million, which is divvied up among private donors and federal, state and local governments.
Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States at 12 p.m. on Friday.
