Frozen Treat Stamp To Be Unveiled At Cabot's In Newton: USPS
Where else in the Greater Boston would you choose to unveil a new scratch n stiff frozen treat stamp?

NEWTON, MA —Ah, the sweet smells of summer: freshly cut grass, grills, suntan lotion. And now; stamps.
The US Postal Service will be unveiling the postal service's first scratch-n-sniff stamp at a dedication ceremony on Friday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at and Cabot’s Ice Cream, at 743 Washington St..
Why Cabot's? Where else in the Greater Boston area would you unveil the Frozen Treats stamp, which features 10 popsicles. It's athrowback to the days of Trapper-Keepers and cool folders for some. But it means you can add the sweet scent of summer to letters of love, friendship, party invitations and, well, bills, all summer long.

The booklet of 20 stamps showcases the work of Margaret Berg of Santa Monica, CA. And each of the 10 stamp designs includes two different treats. The words “FOREVER” and “USA” appear along the bottom of each.
Art director Antonio Alcalá of Alexandria, VA, designed the stamps with Leslie Badani of Alexandria, VA.
Frozen Treats is being issued as First-Class Mail Forever stamps which will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price.
