How To Help Puerto Rico: Newton Mayor, Officials Ask Newton To Step Up

Here are three places to send donations in an effort to help Puerto Rico.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Mayor Setti Warren and a long list of elected officials together with the Newton Democratic City Committee and the Newton Republican City Committee put together a list of resources to help folks interested in helping the people of Puerto Rico. And then asked that the citizens of Newton consider contributing.

"The humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico is personal for me because my grandfather came from Ponce on the southern part of the island, but as we see our fellow Americans suffering, we all need to ask ourselves if we are doing everything we can to help," said Warren. "At times like these, we put our differences aside and work together for the common good of our country."
