ICYMI: Newton Among the "Best Places to Live" in the Country
Money Magazine recently released its list of the top 50 places to live in America.
NEWTON, MA – Newtonians live in one of the best places in the United States, according to a new report.
Money Magazine recently released its list of the 50 best places to live in the country, with Newton landing at No. 31. Columbia, MD was ranked the top place to live in America by the publication.
"Located just outside Boston, Newton is comprised of 13 small villages, each with its own quaint downtown area," Money Magazine wrote. "A stone’s throw from Revolutionary War battlefields, the city is full of history, both Boston’s and its own."

To come up with its rankings, the publication analyzed 60 key factors, including taxes, health care, education and cost of living.
Though it acknowledged Newton's perks come at a cost, Money Magazine touted the city's renowned public school system, scenery, career opportunities and culture.
