Keyes will sponsor Newton at Home's health and wellness programs for the 2017-2018 year.

“We are grateful and thrilled to partner with Keyes Drug and its parent, Dinno Health, to bring a robust lineup of health and wellness programming to Newton at Home members and the residents of Newton,” said Maureen Grannan, Executive Director, Newton at Home.

Some of the past popular and well attended health and wellness programs offered by Newton at Home have focused on driving safety, sleep disorders, and hearing. There have also been classes in yoga and tai chi. Starting this fall, new programming will include topics such as: nutrition, balance, mindfulness, music therapy, memory, and home fitness.

In addition, pharmacists from Keyes Drug will present lectures on the following topics: vitamins and nutritional supplements; learning about over-the-counter medications and drug-to-drug interactions; and how to store and administer medications.

“Partnering with Newton at Home to bring important health information to older adults throughout the city of Newton seemed like a perfect community collaboration,” said Ray Dinno, co-owner of Keyes Drug. “Many of our customers happen to be Newton at Home members, so working together on health and wellness just makes sense.”

Dinno Health has been a trusted provider of pharmacy services and is committed to providing the highest quality of care for each customer. Three independent pharmacies, Acton Pharmacy, West Concord Pharmacy and Keyes Drug, are owned by brothers and pharmacists Saad and Raied Dinno, and offer a full array of pharmacy services for their communities. Acton Pharmacy and Keyes Drug also prepare compounded medications in state-of-the-art labs for patients who cannot use manufactured medications, such as those who are allergic to an inactive ingredient or patients needing a customized dose.

Newton at Home is a non-profit membership organization designed to help Newton residents 60 years of age and older live active, more independent and connected lives in their own homes and apartments through access to a broad variety of social programs and practical services. NAH membership also benefits the families of members who gain peace of mind knowing that their loved ones have access to an enormous support network. NAH plays an important role in the larger community, too, offering both young and old a meaningful opportunity to become involved in community service.
