Molesting Boy, Breaking Into Newton Cars: Grand Jury Indictments
The District Attorney's office announced two Grand Jury indictments related to Newton.

NEWTON, MA – The District Attorney announced two Newton related indictments handed down by Grand Jury between January 18 and March 6, 2018. One related to molesting a child and the other related to breaking into cars. These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Stephen Donovan, 44, of Auburndale, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny under $250, and being a common and notorious thief. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan.
Christopher Prew, 31, of Marblehead, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14. The private hockey coach was previously indicted on charges related to molesting a child in Newton in addition to indictments in Essex County for sexually assaulting eight boys in Marblehead and Peabody. The Assistant District Attorney is Thomas Brant.
